I never believed in love at first site until I met you.I noticed you in the very first moment, the way you stood there, neither stiff nor dynamic- but full of life and power. I couldn’t take my eyes of you. I felt that other people were starring at you as well, the charisma you spread was nearly not ignorable. You caught everyone’s eyes, stood out of the mass. You are the one, I feel it in my heart.
A class mate of mine made a post about you. I read it over and over again. I couldn’t get enough. I clicked more and more links, watched your very first steps, your most recent activities. It’s love, I feel it. I love you, guerrilla marketing. Continue reading
Commercials are essential in today’s society; they are a part of watching TV and nowadays they are a part of videos and movies on the web as well. I have mentioned in my post Mobile Advertisment-useful or pointless that today a mass production of advertisments and commercials lead to a surplus of adverts. As a result many adverts are not memorable anymore. Most commercials are not worth to see besides some really good adverts (which always depends on the taste of the consumer) that come from big companies that have the budget to finance them.
Continuing with my goal to take a look at different types of art, I will present a couple of blogs that talk about the topic video mapping.
Video mapping is a technique used by artists to transform surfaces of building or objects into life with the help of light, sound and videos. I found a couple of interesting explanations of the term.
Google Will Eat Itself
Just imagine you invent something that gains so much power that it eats itself in the end!?! Not possible? The internet makes it possible!
Google Will Eat Itself (GWEI) is a web project that targets on buying Google with money created by Google’s own advertising program “Adsense.”
Inspired by the art galleries in Dublin I decided to write a blog post about the easy and fast way to inform interested people via the internet about art galleries. My first part presented three modern exhibitions that I visited during my stay in Dublin. This week I would like to show you some very impressive art galleries that inspire me every day. These art galleries are very close to the place I grew up- the Strausberger Platz.
Art plays a significant role in today’s society and it is a big part of our culture. We can find it visible for everyone on the streets, or closed back in a museum, in your child’s sketchbook, on your own walls, or in galleries. Art galleries expose art pieces and sell many of their exhibits. Some galleries are quite big who are run by famous artists and again others use art galleries to promote unknown artists. Their small galleries host different exhibitions on a regular basis.
In cities like London, Paris or New York you can find well established big art galleries but over the past years the art scene also developed in smaller cities. Many small art galleries opened up. Often they just have a single show room where they present modern exhibits that are worth to see because they are so different. The downside about being a small gallery is the disadvantage that the galleries are not well known.
Blogging about art with regard to technology is more gripping than I expected it to be. I have learned and discovered so many new and interesting things since I have chosen the topic. So far I took a closer look into different types of art such as painting, architecture, designing and art in the Pergamon Museum. I would like to extend my examination to advertisement followed by commercials and video installation.
